Tell me why do all happy endings start off so wrong?
All those which start with Once upon a time
And Princesses from far away land
Losing their fathers
Having step mothers
Fighting their demons within themselves
Just to find the one they're looking for
Standing all along by their front door...
Anyway... WHY is that? If you read all the happy ending of any story, they always start off with some major PROBLEM. Well I guess they have to, to make a good story but doesn't that just make it seem that even though a relationship isn't perfect now, that there is a POSSIBILITY of a happy ending somewhere down the line? I do wonder sometimes what we actually do want from a relationship. Do we want to be happy? Do we want to make the other person happy? Do we actually want to spend the rest of our lives together?
I never thought I'd have a happy ending and so far in my 16 years, I haven't. I may sound like a pessimist (that's just today) but I found that I have expectations that are way above any ascertainable, achievable level... :L BIG words yes. So does cloud our judgement in making us think that, "Oh right now we aren't perfect. But I know we ARE perfect for each other if only we wait until our happy ending comes along." I really do think that in a relationship that is our first thought when things go wrong. They aren't, "There's something wrong, we should talk about it."; it always seems to be, "There's nothing to worry about, it'll be fine"...
This has been a load of rambling so I'll stop and continue watching my Barbie Movie, oh and well originally that text at the top, was going to be a song but I just can't really be bothered finishing it... I might add more to it but feel free to plagarise.
There's the sleeping beauty locked away from home
The lost voice of the little mermaid of the sea
The shattered shoe of Cinderella
and just being lonely.
The princesses of fairy tales
Have so much to do...
yeargh, didn't make much sense or in a good tune.
Did I mention my Barney yarney boy is back for a while?
